Who we are
ProCaCi (Patrimonio, Caminos y Ciudades) is developed by The Tiny Revolutions, an independent software studio, in collaboration with the HUM-155 Spatial Experimentation Laboratory (LabE2) research group at the University of Jaén, who authored the app’s historical and cultural content. The short version
ProCaCi requires no account and does not collect your location. Content (routes, points of interest, audio) is downloaded and stored on your device for offline use. We only collect anonymous usage and crash data, and only if you give explicit consent the first time you open the app.
What data we collect
Data that stays on your device (never transmitted)
- Downloaded route, town, and points-of-interest content
- Navigation progress and app preferences
- Selected language
Data that may be transmitted (only with your consent)
The first time you open the app, we ask whether you accept anonymous usage and crash data collection. You can decline and the app works the same either way.
Anonymous usage analytics (Firebase Analytics) If you accept, we collect anonymous usage events (screens visited, interactions) to understand which content works best. This never includes your name, email, or location.
Anonymous crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) If the app crashes, an anonymous technical report is sent (stack trace, exception type, device model, OS version, app version). It never includes personal content.
On iOS: the operating system will prompt you for tracking authorization (App Tracking Transparency) before analytics is enabled, per Apple’s requirements.
What data we do NOT collect
- Your name, email, or credentials (no account or sign-up exists)
- GPS location or geolocation
- Advertising identifiers or behavioral tracking data
- Any data shared with third parties for advertising purposes

Data retention
Downloaded content and your preferences are stored locally on your device and removed when you uninstall the app. Anonymous analytics and crash data in Firebase follow Google’s standard retention policies.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is no user data to access, correct, or delete on our servers. To withdraw your consent to anonymous analytics, you can uninstall and reinstall the app (you’ll be asked again) or contact us.

Children
ProCaCi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
